The ASTM D 1998 standard is designed for:
- Rotationally molded flat-bottom, upright, cylindrical tanks of one-piece seamless construction
- Minimum volume of 500 gallons
- Minimum required wall thickness not less than 0.187"
- Atmospheric pressure
- Temperatures up to 150 F
